One of the things that happened to me when I started to take on commercial work and charging clients is, everything became “the job”. There’s the shoot, then the deadlines, dealing with clients and etc. Under the surface something was happening that I wasn’t paying attention to, I was losing the love snaps. I wasn’t making images for the love but for the work. While I indeed enjoyed the work (and being paid), I stopped picking up my camera for moments. Those special moments of my kids and my wife. Moments that won’t necessarily be shared to social media, captures that will make for awesome photo books that my future grandkids can look at some day.

I wanted to share some love snaps of my son on the RTM Stories blog. We were playing around and having some grand ol’ father and son time and then something caught his attention. He moved to the kitchen to explore and I jetted to get my camera and got four shots that I loved. Not bad for 3 minutes worth of shooting.
